Hi, I just installed linux mint 18.1 along with windows 10 in c drive. Now i am facing two problems.
1. In my hp laptop i changed the boot order of Uefi and legacy to os boot manager and note book hardrive respectively. But still when i start my laptop it boots directly to windows (while installing i did not choose install along with other os, i chose something else). I even tried and disabled legacy boot manager and tried. The secure boot option is by default disabled (i cant change that option). I have to press f9 and then choose ubuntu (hgst....).
Now
2. After entering linux i am unable to shut down my laptop (it just shows the logo and hangs i have to manually power down). Even giving command in terminal wont shut it down. I googled and tried to change grub settings also to sudo - i
cd /etc/default/
for e in kate gedit pluma;do if test - e/usr/bin/$e; then $e /etc/default/grub;fi;done
This open grub i changed
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="acpi=noirq acpi=force quiet splash"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="amp=power_off"
After this i update grub but still the problem persists.
Please help.

boosted1g sorry i accidentally pressed the down button. I unable to reverse it. I did download easybcd software but it showed many features are disabled by Microsoft so i cant make that change.
