M.2 help please

Hello and I am late to the party but I can not get my Toshiba 256 GB M.2 to boot on Windows 10 at all. I can see it in Windows but not in the Bios at all. I have the Asua 970 pro gaming I can format the drive and like I said I can see in Windows just fine and that's it. I still can not get it to boot. I would really love the help if someone can help me PLEASE !!!! thank you so very much. I did the step by step I found online but I still can't get it to work.

Did you install your OS to the M.2? IF so, the BIOS saw it.

Did you clone your OS to the M.2? If so, you likely didn't clone the boot partition.

If there's no OS on the M.2, there's nothing to boot - and you'll want to get the BIOS detecting the drive.
There's likely a setting in your BIOS to specifiy which 'mode' to run the M.2 slot (SATA, PCIe or Auto) - usually Auto will work just fine, but sometimes selecting it manually can help.

That the thing there isn't a setting in the Bios at all, the first build number on the motherboard had a option for the M.2. in Windows you can see the device but in the Bios it's not to be found. I guess I can try cloning it and seeing if that will work.

Okay I will check it out when I get home Thanks for the help. I will let you know what I find.

Thank you so much for the info but there isn't a PCH storage configuration setting in the BIOS on this motherboard. I just don't get it, why there isn't any type of setting for the M.2 at all.
