grabbed a Lightscribe DVD rw drive from a old HP slimline and I decided to use it to make pictures on my lightscribe DVD and also burn discs more efficiently. There is just one problem though. The DVD drive I described up there is not getting recognised. I am sure that the SATA and power supply cables are tightly connected to the DVD drive. I have another LG DVD drive installed too, and it works flawlessly. Please help as I want custom made pictures on my DVD and thanks a lot!:)

Did the drive work in the HP slimline?
Yes, it did, but then the PC broke down(The DVD drive has no problem), and the DVD drive sat there for like 4 years without running once. I took it from the old pc and installed it on my Windows XP pc, and it detected my LG DVD drive and the DVD drive that was taken from the HP PC. It is just that the DVD drive from the HP PC won't read my newer discs.
Now I upgraded to windows 10, and the DVD drive from HP PC isn't getting recognised, but the
LG one has no problem running on win10.

Also, I have my DVD drive from HP PC plugged , and somehow, the SSD that has win10 on it is not recognised! When I unplug the HP PC DVD drive, the SSD is recognised.
