Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB STRIX vs Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Mini....... Which one is better for video editing? I want a smoother timeline and higher FPS playback, not fast rendering.
Depending on the video editing software you use, the CPU handles most of that stuff. Having lots of ram helps too. So if you're not happy with your performance, look at your CPU first. You want at least a newer quad core level CPU for video editing.
He's not interested in Video Editing speed, only playback. But GPU matters a lot in most video editing apps that use CUDA such as Premiere. The above studio1 link explains this in detail
Go with the 10th gen gtx over the 7th gen graphics card. It's more power efficient due to die shrinkage, which allows more transistors along with extra performance. However, your mileage may vary due to the variety of video editing programs, which may or may not support CUDA cores or graphics card acceleration. Each platform varies, so please keep that in mind. thank you.
