Hello.

I am extremely hard on my headsets. Time and time again I purchase a nice set, and within a few months / weeks they'll be broken. I'm sick and tired of this, so I've come to get some recommendations- What are some durable, high quality headsets suitable for gaming and general use (CSGO, other games, youtube, netflix, music, etc)?

Heres a list of all the headset's I've broken, along with countless others.

  • HyperX Cloud
    Turtle Beach Z60
    Logitech G230
    Logitech G430
    Logitech G231
    Logitech G930's
    Bose QC25

I like wireless headsets, because the cord's don't get caught on my chair/dog/small child ( a phenomena that has resulted in many of the past failures) But I have to be able to use them as they charge, and that process has to be seamless. This is what killed my G930s, charging port failure.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Will.

EDIT: I do not need a mic on the headset.

Well nothing will last forever and it also depends on how you take care of them as well but at that price range id probably go for sennheiser hd 650 but things to be aware of they are hard to drive so youd need a decent amp. If you want something lower prices try massdrop.com they often sell hifiman(HE-350) headphones on the cheap i think around $100 and they have detachable cables...

I forgot to mention I didn't need an onboard mic.
I got that advice, and went for the Bose QC25's, which were well reviewed and super pricy, but those too failed. Do you have any specific recommendations for quality headsets?

Think you might have misunderstood me, I had the QC25s, they broke two. That's a list of everything I have had that has broken.

It depends. I'd pay whatever it costed for a headset that would last forever, but that's unrealistic. Let's use 400$ as a working budget, but considering the ones I've broken have totaled to at least 500$ US, I'd be willing to spend more if it meant I would never have to buy another pair.

Sorry yes I did misread it. I don't know what to suggest, the Bose are well made and so are some of the others. I don't want to be rude but maybe its the way you look after them, that's quite a list of broken headsets. I don't think I have ever broken a headset in 20 years of using them (excluding earbuds).
