Here's the story, I recently upgraded my motherboard because my old one would blue screen after logging into Windows and staying idle for a minute or two. Sometimes I would get lucky, and it would boot and login normally and not crash whatsoever. This notably happened after installing Kali Linux and activating persistence on a USB flash drive.

I cleared CMOS and flashed the BIOS twice, which didn't seem to fix anything. Sometimes the computer wouldn't POST at all but that was quickly fixed by removing a SATA cable and then reseating it again after rebooting.

After getting frustrated with it constantly crashing after login, I bought an ASUS Z97-Deluxe off of my friend and quickly installed it with no issues. I used the computer like normal for three days, Windows booted like normal and I was content with it.

Since I use WiFi as I am in conditions where I currently can not have a Ethernet connection running into my computer, I had an antenna sitting on my desk which was connected to my WLAN adapter. The antenna fell off of my desk and picked it up and pulled on it a little bit. All of a sudden I hear the Windows 10 device disconnect noise and soon after an awful scent fills my room. My PC promptly shut off and smoke rose out of the tower.

Upon further investigation, the guard which holds the WLAN card in place touched my motherboard and created a short circuit which melted a few chips around the shorted area. The motherboard is likely in a state of which it can not be repaired.

Conclusion:
I have no other choice, I have to fix my old motherboard. I do not get paid for another two weeks. I have no money left whatsoever, so buying a new motherboard is out of the question. I have to find out the issue with my original one and fix it until I can purchase a new motherboard. Please, give me all of the advice you can. I have a good two years of experience in hardware and have built ten or so computers and repaired nearly fifty, so I can probably answer any questions you have.

In case I misled you by the wall of text I wrote, the issue is that I get a blue screen of death after logging into Windows. It works on other motherboards, so it is not the Windows install's fault.
