Hey everyone. I have a problem with installing Windows on my machine. I used to have dual boot win10 and linux but then I got a virus on win10 and I decided to reinstall it. I "refreshed" windows 10 by clearing all data from all drives. When it restarted it went to grub. I couldn't boot into win10 nor linux. I found the win 10 disc but it doesn't work so I'm trying windows 8.1. When I use win8 disc and select a boot option to boot from the disc it puts me into a freeDOS screen asking me to press enter within 5 seconds or the following boot option will be selected (which is the used to be C that had win10 on before the "refreshment" (no I can't boot from it either). However if I do press enter it brings me to freedos console. I tried reformatting C (using format c: /s) but and it did but it couldn't install sys files or something.
Anyways here's some screenshots to give you more insight: http://imgur.com/a/goCL2
I need to fix this ASAP cause I need to work on a paper due next week. I have to do a week of observations and I already skipped one because of this. Can't waste any more time. What can I do?

Solution
Well, I managed to make a spare USB bootable using my other laptop and it worked! Sorry that you had to go through this only for me to find my own solution and I can't appreciate your help enough.
Thank you.

If I can recall just the disc and the hard drive. If I go to hard drive boot options (which is separate from disc options) there's another hard drive (I have two if them). But only those two are present in the main screen

My next suggestion would have been that your cd isn't actually bootable :p

Glad you figured it out!
