I have had a weird problem with either OBS, games that I try to record, GPU or monitor. So I usually record in 60fps in OBS and the footage lags, freezes and is just impossible to watch and enjoy. But this only happens if the game isnt capped at 60fps. If the game stays in 60 the recording is fine but if it goes over it starts freezing. The game doesnt lag most of the time but the recording does. I recorded about 2 hours of Alien Isolation one day and when I went back to look at it, about every a few seconds the screen froze for minutes at a time but the sound was fine... Ive lost 2 long recording sessions because of this and had to struggle with it a ton when Ive tried to stream. What could be causing this?
If it helps, I have a Gigabyte GTX 1070, i5 7600K, 16GB DDR-4 ram, my monitor is probably a few years old 1080p gaming ish monitor
