Solution
Can you provide more background info:

Wired or wireless internet connection?
Have you tried different browsers?
Open command prompt and type ipconfig to see if you have a valid IP address (should be 192.168.x/x or 10.x.x.x, if it is 169.x.x.x that is a problem)
While in command prompt type nslookup www.google.com and see if you get a result.

Wired Connection, And i have tried the ipconfig to see if i have and ip adress and i do have one. Tried chrome and internet explorer. However an service man showed up to my house today and switched out the modem and all seems fine. Does anyone know how a modem could cause that problem.
