So recently i got back to my pc after being unused for almost 4 years and i just ordered a gtx 1080 ti
However i'm not happy with my cpu and i want to oc to at least 4.0ghz
Here are my spec
I7 3770k @3.5ghz stock
Motherboard: Asus p8z77-v LK
Also i'm using hyper 212 evo Turbo if that matters
So my question is how safe to oc a cpu after that many years being stock speed
And unused also i ran some stress test with prime95 and i got to 50c up to 60c and i got scared because i havent even oc yet so should i give it another try? Or did i do something wrong as i'm completly new to OCing and i'm watching a videos and trying my luck
Ps i would love to see a full guide for the p8z77 v-LK because there arent many

Edit: managed to get to 4.5ghz with 1.2v but temp are going in the 80s on prime is that normal? Idle are 30c to 34c
