I have a asus z270 prime a that I built last night. However after I checked the cables extensively, and tried boot up the DRAM led came up as solid orange. No video output so no [strike]bios[/strike] BIOS access. I checked the ram and they weren't in all the way - when i fixed it, it made no difference.
I am using:
Asus prime z270a
Corsair 500w bronze
4x2gb hyper x fury ddr4
I5 7600k
1tb HDD WD
Stock cooler which is massive

Solution
Make sure ALL cables/wires are inserted/connected properly. Also ensure memory and video card seated properly.

If still having problems, remove CPU and check it and its socket. No pins/pads should be damaged or bent. And there should not be any dust, dirt, debris nor anything else on or amongst the pins/pads. Remount CPU carefully and evenly. Uneven mounting of CPU may cause intermittent or no contact on some pins/pads leading to system issues.

Hi,

Same problem here with a Asus Prime Z270-A and a I5 7600K. Look like it's a issue with the version of the BIOS. Should be at least 0604 when mine is only 0505.
But how to update BIOS without CPU ? The only thing to do is to contact your reseller and ask him to update the BIOS with another CPU (a Skylake one)

See you !
