Laptop keyboards wearing out

Solution
The keys are backlit, so the letters themselves are semi-translucent windows. As such, I suspect the lettering would be rather resistant to wear. As for durability of the actual keys, I don't think there's anyone who could tell you for sure. A lot of it could depend on how hard you press them, whether the keyboard is exposed to high humidity or other conditions, and any number of other factors.

A keyboard can cost 10 bucks, better than a laptop keyboard.
