Are they selling the new GTX 1080, 1070, 1060 lines of cards for laptops separately yet or are they only bundled/available in new machines? if so where can you get them as I cannot find them.

In that case you will have to contact Asus. No retail outlet sells them directly. Even Nvidia themselves say this > http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_13966.html

You will want to check to make sure you can upgrade it first though as like i said, it is quite unlikely you can. It having a dedicated card already doesn't make it upgradeable at they are most often soldered directly onto the motherboard not in a removable socket like a desktop. There has been threads on this many times with this answer from other members here is one for example > http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2760220/buy-laptop-notebook-gpu-nvidia-geforce-gtx.html

I'm running an Asus ROG machine and I "believe" I can do it as I believe it has a dedicated Nvidia 765m card.

I was able to upgrade an old Alienware to a much higher card and I was looking for shopping and specs on the cards to see if it is even possible. All purely in the planning and phase.

Ah Thanks Cro, I didn't find that blurb by them. I'll reach out to Asus support directly then and see what i can see. Appreciated.
