Looking for a budget CPU cooler

I need a cooler for my i5 7600k. It had been under performing due to high temperatures under load, and was running at about 2.8 GHz, instead of 3.8 GHz, due to it. I am looking for a cooler to keep it at low temps under load, but am on a budget of under 50€.

Would a 212 EVO give me low temps while gaming, or do I need to spend some more?

I am also unsure of what temperatures I should be expecting. I have read that some people don't pass 50, but what would be ideal temperature?

Thank you very much for reading and helping me.

Simple installation video here ^

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of
compatibility, the H7 utilizes an asymmetric slanted
heatpipe layout to move the heatsink away from the
RAM zone, Offering optimal compatibility for RAM
with tall heat spreaders on both Intel 115X and
AMD platforms.

What cooler do you have now?
I would expect to see 10-15c. over ambient if the cooler is mounted well and is functioning.

What is your case?
What parts are inside?
You need sufficient intake air for any cooler to do its job.

Are you trying to overclock?

Under load, it is the vcore that pushes up temperatures.
1.4v should be your max, and you should be able to sustain 85c for a stress test.

Look for a scythe kotetsu cooler. £37.64

Here is a review:

It competes favorably with such high end coolers as noctua.

Hey, thanks a lot for your suggestion, but sadly the cooler is only available for 85€ minimum where I live.

Hey, I'm currently using the box cooler and under stress it's hitting max temps and in idle it's also alarmingly high.

Case: Cooler Master HAF X (great airflow)
CPU: i5 7600k
GPU: MSI rx 480
MOBO: ASRock Z270 Pro4
RAM: Patriot Viper 4 2x4GB 3600
PSU: XFX TS 450
SSD: Plextor M7V 256GB

I am almost certain it is my cooler that is the problem here. I am not really looking to overclock, but if I were to get a cooler good enough then I might give it a try.

Do you have an estimate on what temperatures my CPU would run at under load with the fan you linked?

Thank you very much for you help!
