Hello.I`m looking to build a new system,(probably) using a R5 1600.I`ve seen a fair share of benchmarks(of Ryzen 7,but given that they`re the same chip physiccally,I assume that the situation would be similar) and in most of them people have had problems with getting higher frequencies(at least initally) and also that Ryzen really benefits from higher RAM speeds. My question is,what RAM should I get?Would 2400/2666 be enough(and maybe using XMP to get a higher frequency) or should I go straight for 3000?I`d also like to mention that I plan to use a B350 motherboard and the RAM would be in a 2x8 configuration.

As you have noticed from the reviews higher memory speed does benefit Ryzen so the faster the better. AMD is currently working on the memory issues and if i recall correction there should be a BIOS update in May to fix this not to be confused with the BIOS updates that should be coming out in April. Personally I'd aim for a 3200 kit if you can find one at a good price then down clock it to 3000 so that you'll have the flexibility to upscale the memory to full speed when the update comes out since most boards out today support up to 3200 max. Take a look at the link I posted below which helps provide a visual representation of memory speed to performance. This is just one site but all reviews agree the faster the memory the better...

Most people seem to agree that 2666 is the metaphorical 'sweet spot' for RAM frequency. While I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the Ryzen CPUs, I would say that sticking with the well-knowns is your best option. 3000 is a good frequency, but 2666 has been the widely revered perfect spot.

Just for reference I'm user 3200mhz memory downclocked to 2933mhz until the issues are worked out since that's the most my board can handle.

Hi, I can currently upload up to more than 2666mhz because I skip a memory error I have corsair vengeance led white 2x8GB do you know how to configure 2933mhz to help me?

Unfortunately no I do not know how to help you. Support for memory varies per motherboard manufacture, bios version and memory used. My advice would be to visit the forums specific to your motherboard and see what others are doing for their specific memory situation.

*Update* After reading the article on wwwcftech I was able to get my memory running at full speed and seems to be stable.
