The link to the mobo is wrong. It doesnt use DDR3 ram.

The Gigabyte site, says it uses DDR 4.

Which isnt compatible with DDR3

Well there's 2 mobos with the same name then. But one uses ddr3 the other ddr4

Doesnt say that ram is DDR3L tho

Yeah got the same. Ram is DDR3, not DDR3L. Officially it will not work with 6600k CPU.

Only thing you can do buy DDR4 ram or buy a mobo that supports DDR3. But it wont be a 1151 system

Well, the problem is, DDR3L ram is pretty much out of market. pcPartPicker had none last time I checked.

The mobo you linked to is a socket 1151 mobo

But the link to the mobo says Dual Channel DDR3/DDR3L, 4 DIMMs

Why would it say both if you have to use DDR3L?

Technically, DDR3 and 3L are same size, so they both fit. So I guess they could not call it just DDR3L. Anyway, marketing rarely makes sense.

Well I would contact Gigabyte get them on Facebook (if you're on it) and ask them. All the manual says is

4 x DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory *
