Black screen crash, sound goes in loop

So I have my PC for a while now and it always has had this issue.

I play a game that's a bit demanding in terms of graphics and it shuts off mostly when i return to a menu or when I turn off the game.
The sound goes into a loop mostly, the screen goes black and nothing is responding. The PC is still running though and does not reset or shut itself of..
It's pretty random though.. Some games like Fallout 4 do not have this issue.

My setup:
GTX770 GPU
Z87 Extreme6/ac, socket 1150 Motherboard
i5 3,4 ghz CPU
TN6S16 Sharkoon WPM600 Bronze PSU
8G RAM (Kingston HyperX Beast 8 GB)

So here is what I allready tried:

- Deinstalled and reinstalled all drivers with custom settings multiple times.
- Reinstalled Motherboard drivers
- Replaced PSU 500W for a 600W (see my setup)
- Updated Motherboard BIOS (dangerous.. i know, but it worked out)
- Multiple GPU stress tests (Eventually it would crash sometimes but only a few minutes after the test has been finished)

My next step is to buy a new GPU because I cannot think of any other cause. But perhaps someone here has another solution?

Please let me know!

I would say if you're running games like Fallout 4 or newer it may be time to upgrade to a GTX 1070.

I upgraded my GPU and the problem is solved. Some more research pointed out that multiple people have had the same problem with this GPU. I've had 2 of these cards and it turns out that both of them were failing. The GTX770 is an unstable piece of hardware. If you also experience similar problems with the same GPU, upgrade it or send it back to the manufacturer!

Thanks for the info. My 770M never played Fallout 4 higher than 45FPS on Med. settings, but I know laptop GPUs are generally weaker than full size desktop GPUs.
