So, I got this old hard drive(bought it around 2004) from my old PC whose motherboard died. The model is a WD800BB. What would be the best solution to connect it to my motherboard's SATA port(mobo is a H81M-K) and how do I connect it so it has sufficient power? Thanks in advance.

Solution
You would need a IDE adapter card which will be about $20.
You will also need an IDE adapter cable from the old pc.
Power will come from a molex connector from your psu.

I would not bother.
You can buy a sata 160gb 10K WD velociraptor for less than the cost of an adapter on ebay.

I have an IDE/SATA to USB adapter I use to get data off of drives that people give me. Happens all the time when people learn I'm into PCs. This adapter even has a plug for the laptop IDE drives. (44pin instead of 40.) I'll plug it in, save the data they wanted onto a flash drive or something else then give them back. Handy to have if you randomly do this. I wouldn't spend money on a permanent solution. The money is better spent on a new drive which would be much larger and faster. Why spend $15-20 on an adapter if you can spend 2x that and get another 1TB drive? (which as mentioned above is much larger.)
