I bought a computer with
i5 6500
gtx1060 3gb
8gb ram

and lately my fps in ALL the games dropped like 80-90 fps. in one game it was like 150 fps and then suddenly the fps just went 70-80 and sometimes it dropped to 60.
in other games this was happening too and i dont know what to do. the cpu is 90-100 percent but the gpu is chilling and sitting on 30-40 percent.
everyone has been telling me to buy a new cpu or something but I am not rich and i dont want to waste more then 300$ on a new cpu without a real reason.
I want to know if there is a POSSIBLE way that i can fix my bottlenecking WITHOUT buying cpu or wasting my money.by the way that is very strange i didn't knew about that stupid problem that can appear from nowhere with no reason and all i need to do is "JUST buy a new cpu".
Thank You.

Solution

what is your native language?

Anyway, I have a possible solution that might save you from having to reset.

If you are completely determined to use Windows Reset please read the last paragraph labeled in bold "IF YOU HAVE TO RESET WINDOWS"

Perform a Clean Boot on Windows 10

  • From Start, search for msconfig.

Select System Configuration from the search results.

Use system restore to reset your pc back to a date when all was well.

No, System restore.
press the windows/start button and type restore if you have windows 10.
It should show you something like "create a restore point" click it,

select a restore point of a date when everything was working.

if not then yes you can try a windows reset.

By the way, by buying do you mean that you had better perfromance with your previous system or that everything used to be okay in the beginning with this system and then randomly it started having problems?

The best thing to do, as others have pointed out, is a system restore. However, if there are no old enough restore points, I'd say that you have to check everything that led to your porblem. Reset the games you were playing to their default graphical settings, check for driver updates, system updates that may have taken place, do a scan with your antivirus etc.

Didn't try benchmarks but in a lot of youtube videos the fps was MUCH higher to the people with the exact same specs.
I know what is my problem, my problem is CPU bottleneck so i dont really know how benchmarks will help.
