I have a desktop with Windows 10 that came with a hard drive and CD drive. Worked fine for several years, no issues. Added a blu-ray drive recently (LG WH16NS40) and now I've got issues with Windows randomly rebooting, and then failing to complete the reboot, or failing to boot up from power-off.
Disconnect the bluray drive, and everything works fine. Hook it back up, and the problems reoccur, usually within a couple of hours I'll get the reboot. So it's definitely related to the bluray, which works fine when it's connected. So I doubt it's a faulty drive.
I'm suspecting a driver or resource conflict. How do I research and resolve? I don't have any drivers installed for it other than the Windows driver. (and i've uninstalled the driver via Device Manager, letting Windows reinstall the driver, and the problem persists)
Help!
