Been having random restarts while gaming (seems to restart when a game wants to go to loading screens). Also, did the Power Supply test on OCCT and my pc restarted like 2 minuntes into that test but ran the CPU and GPU each for over an hour, no issues. Nothing is overheating by the wat, all sensors show normal operating temperatures (even dialed back gaming settings and still restarting w/o BSOD). Pretty sure it's my 650W supernova p2 PSU with the crappy eco mode issue (still restarts with ECO 'OFF') but trying to eliminate all other possibilities before starting an RMA. Looking to do memtest86 on my 2x8GB sticks of G-skill Ripjaw Ram. Want to test one stick at a time. Here's my question:

After I pull one stick of RAM out, can I go straight into doing the memtest off of the bootable usb (will it recognize the change in RAM)? Or should I run windows first (normal startup) so it recognizes the change from 16GB to 8GB of RAM?

New to the troubleshooting side of things, don't want to make things worse.

I'd like to get this going ASAP because I know it takes a long time to do multiple passes, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
