Ram mhz question

the motherboard I'm interested in buying specs say it supports DDR3-1333+(O.C.) does that mean I can use 2400 MHz ram, Or just 1333 and i can over clock it? Not buying cheaper ram if it will support my good ram.

The only base frequency that it supports is DDR3 1333. Anything above that would have to be the work of an overclock.

You would still have to get the 1333. When you overclock, you are pushing that ram beyond the factory tested power (1333 MHz in this case).
