I am having problems installing drivers in Windows. i installed a new windows, but i when ever i installed the drivers the screen of my monitor will go black and it will not show anything, however, i can hear the youtube video playing in the background but cant see nothing when i boot the pc i can see the asus logo and whatnot and it will show the windows loading but it does not show anything on display. now i am seeing this http:// right now and i cant change the resolution. need help.

so the driver you install is it for the gtx 960 or the onboard graphic?does this happen before?have u check where the cable is connected to?if u motherboard have an extra pcie slot try switching or reseating your card.

Microsoft basic display is usually for the onboard graphic.it should be 3d video controller etc.have u tried using other gpu or using your gpu on another pc?

i would suggest testing your gpu on another system or using another gpu for your system to find out if the gtx 960 is not the culprit.
