Difference between bottlenecking and old gpu

Could you give me some examples? Im still new in the world of pc building so I would like some characteristics of bottlenecking like, which kind of games would get stuttering in fps or even better, something like this
Bottleneck: 30-40 fps
6570: 15-25 fps
Or something like that, if you cant its ok, just stating some preferences

it depends on which resolution u are using and what game.i use to run an old system with a pentium dual core cpu e7600 with an amd 6770.i tried slapping a gtx 970 on it and off course there is a bottleneck in cpu intensive game but not by much(probably 20-30fps compare to 970 pair with an i5 or i7).i still achieve 60fps++ on most game on 1080p which is unattainable on my 6770 and its miles better.so a gpu is a good investment if u are on a budget since games now tend to to use more vram.i would suggest getting a better cpu though in the future.
