Okay

Recently I decided to upgrade my PC after having it for around a year. I decided that I would upgrade my CPU to an I5 6600k and motherboard to a Gigabyte H110M-S2H. I installed it all and shortly after found out my PC was overheating causing it to restart randomly. I have noticed it only happens whilst gaming. My idle heats are around 25-31 wheras when gaming my heats rise to 50+. I also noticed that its my CPU and GPU that overheat. My GPU is a 750ti and like the CPU gets to heats such as 50+ from 25-31. I cant see much dust in the PC but will give it a clean later on.

Any suggestions to what may be happening?

Based on the temps you stated, doesn't sound like it's overheating. 50-60c temperatures are perfectly acceptable under load. Check windows event viewer to get a better idea of what's happening when the pc restarts. It will give you a timestamp and an event ID. You can google the event ID number to find possible causes and solutions to what might be happening. Or, at the very least point you in the direction

What are the specs of your ram and psu?
Verify your ram is running correctly using a memory checker like memtest86, be sure your ram is running at the proper speed, timings and command rate. You can do this easily by selecting intel XMP profile in your systems bios.

It may very well be your psu, you might need to purchase a new one but 500w is plenty for your build. Quality over quantity! If the memory checks out I would consider replacing your psu. Consider this one:

Ill tell you my specs of my ram and psu when I find them out.

So I ran windows memory diagnoses and it came up with no errors regarding my ram which leads me to still believe this is a PSU issue. I also very recently brought the ram and I don't think its that but I hear a very quiet high frequency sound coming from inside my PC. I researched and found that people with a PSU issue hear this sound aswell. Today whilst I was gaming the issue occurred again around 20 mins in but when I am on the internet or something like that it doesn't seem to crash.

Sounds like you're narrowing in on the problem. If the psu was going out the symptoms usually appear while it's under load so that makes sense. Pop in a new psu and it should fix your issue. Good luck :)

The power supply? they're all pretty much universal these days. It'll work

That should be a pretty solid psu, but manufacturer defects do happen. Is it under warranty?
