Radeon RX 460 tabs out of games by itself, won't tab back in

I've recently bought a Sapphire Radeon RX 460 2GB to replace a Geforce GTX 460 which failed, temporarily to be used in my old., crappy PC. And now, as it often seems to be, problems start.

The card appears to be working normally in Windows but if I try to play any games (3D games, at least, not sure if this holds 100% true for 2D games), after, usually, less than a minute it will tab out of the game and return me to Windows. The game won't freeze or crash, it will only be tabbed out and either not responding according to task manager or work fine (I can hear it running) but nevertheless I won't be able to tab into it again. More precisely if I try to tab back into the game I'll get the sound, but not the picture, I'll still be looking at my desktop.

I've tried installing the newest drivers, I've tried uninstalling all the possible remnants of old drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and then installing the newest drivers again. It didn't help.

I've tried running FurMark on it and it ran fine, but games cause immediate problems...

Anyone had similar issues, any ideas? Is this on GPU, is there a chance something else is at fault?

My PC specifications:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
So bear in mind that this is just
MBO: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P (rev. 2.0)
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200
RAM: 2x2GB Kingmax DDR2 800MHz
PSU: 450W Chieftec

I'm aware how shitty that configuration is and I do hope I will manage to upgrade to at least Pentium G4560 based build in the next few months, but this is what I have atm.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately I can't try it in another Windows based and compatible system at the moment, at least not without installing fresh Windows on a different PC. So, my next step was and is going to be to try and install Windows on a freshly formatted disk. I'm sort of hoping it might be only due to old Nvidia/Ati drivers causing issues if they failed to uninstall properly...
