3tb external hdd, only show 2tb, cannot be extended in Disk Management

Hi.

I have a 3tb external hdd. connected to a windows 7 computer, I can only remember at some stage I did a partition to this hdd, but cannot remember which software I used. Now it only show 2 tb and I cannot extend it. Plz help. Thanks.

I have the screen shot, but I cannot attach a pic here.

A
You need to partition the drive to the GPT-partitioning scheme from its present MBR partitioning scheme. You can convert the disk to GPT using Disk Management as long as there's NO DATA on the drive.
