So the other day I received some new updated replacement RAM for my computer since my old RAM was giving me errors. This new RAM I got was significantly faster than my old ram (old RAM was rated at 1866 MHz and the new RAM is rated at 2400 MHz). I knew I would have to go into BIOS and probably overclock the RAM (if I could) in case it's default speed was too much to handle. Anyway, I put all 8 sticks of new RAM in and turned the computer on...

So the first thing I noticed was that my monitors, keyboard and mouse were not turning on which was very odd, because I plugged all of those in beforehand. I looked through the glass window on the side of my computer and saw the Q-Code was 53, which says in the motherboard manual "Memory initialization error. Invalid memory type or incompatible speed". So I shut my computer down and it still did the same thing- monitors were not turning on and the keyboard and mouse were not lighting up.

I went back in the computer to see if I accidentally disconnected a wire in the process of putting my RAM in I had to disconnect my CPU water cooler was in the way of 4 sticks. Everything was plugged in, so I decided to take out 4 of the 8 sticks and try it again- sure enough, no change. So I took my graphics cards out and took out my CMOS battery and put it back in. STILL NOTHING.

I have run out of ideas and I'm kind of disappointed...not just do I have to return that new RAM, but now I have to fix my computer's NEW issue that should have never happened. The thing is is that I do not know what is causing this at all. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me figure out what happened to my computer and how to solve this problem. I'm thinking it may be a CPU error? I'm really not sure though...

I did take a short video on what is going on to give a better idea on what is happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SggI7XN6WUc

It does make some weird clicking sounds when I shut it off in the end, but I don't think that I have ever noticed it. Is that normal for the PC to do that?

Anyway, I apologize for the lengthy story. Anyone that may have an idea with what is going on, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

Did you try with just one stick in the second slot to the right of the cpu? The "D1" slot if you look at the manual. The 2400mhz ram should have worked fine on the motherboard.
Tried the "MEM OK" button?
Or the "Bios Switch" button?

Other thing you can do is use the "Usb Bios Flashback" function to flash the latest bios onto the motherboard, see if that helps.

For your motherboard specifically,

2.2
BIOS update utility
USB BIOS Flashback
USB BIOS Flashback allows you to easily update the BIOS without entering the existing
BIOS or operating system. Simply insert a USB storage device to the USB port specially
allocated for the USB BIOS Flashback feature then press the ROG Connect button for three
seconds. The BIOS will be...

Your motherboard should have a cmos reset jumper. Sometimes taking out the cmos battery temporarily doesn't fix it because it can still retain it by capacitors or any source of lingering power. I've had computer where I had to unplug the computer from all power sources and the cmos batter for a good 5 minutes before it actually reset. So I recommend you use the jumper (or switch on some motherboards) for this reset.

If that doesn't do anything try the same thing but with only one ram stick at a time.

I took out the CMOS battery, drained the power out and left only one stick of RAM in. Still nothing yet. Couldn't find an exact swtich for the CMOS, but I just took the battery out and put it back in. I have a ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition.

seconds. The BIOS will be updated automatically.
To use USB BIOS Flashback:
1. Download the latest BIOS file from the ASUS website
2. Extract and rename the BIOS image file to
R4BE.CAP
(changing the name is very important!)
.
3. Copy R4BE.CAP to the root directory of the USB flash disk drive.
4. Turn off the system and insert the USB storage device to the ROG Connect port.
5. Press the ROG Connect button and release when a flashing light appears,
which
indicates that the BIOS Flashback function is enabled.
6. Wait until the light goes out, indicating that the BIOS updating process is completed

For which port and the ROG connect Button,
