Hello all,

I can't find the root cause of this problem. I'll list my specs below as well as various screens. I have searched thoroughly online to no avail. I see similar issues, but the solutions that work for OP are things I've already tried etc.

***
MSI Z170-A PRO (Bios 1.H0 - Latest version)

Intel i7 7700k @ 4.2GHz + H100i v2

16GB(8x2) Corsair Dominator 3200MHz

GTX 980Ti 6GB

Corsair HX850 PSU

1TB Samsung EVO840 SSD

So basically, once I set my CPU ratio to anything above 46, it will immediately throttle down to a 43 multiplier during stress testing. (confirmed to do this with P95 as well as OCCT)

Testing at 4.6 is perfectly fine & stable.

My voltages are set to auto, but I have manually increased incrementally with the same result.

The only settings I have not touched (because of a lack of understanding) are these:

Long/Short power limits (TDP - not sure how to translate to W safely, don't want to take risk)

CPU Ring ratio (left it at auto, seems to stay at 4200MHz)

***

I have tried to change CPU ratio mode (fixed/dynamic, same result)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
