Hello,

I was going to make a entire new computer to replace this old HP Compaq but, as the budget is tight, and I am in need of quick solution I have decided instead to upgrade it with an SSD.

I am pretty sure the PC supports SATA 2. I was thinking of upgrading it with a Crucial MX300:

However, I am uncertain whether this drive will work with the SATA2 interface. Even if the performance is capped at the 300MB/s of SATA 2 thats fine.

Will the Cruicial MX300 work with the HP Compaq system? Thanks in advance!
