Hi,
i7 2600k
750w PSU
Old GPU r9 280x
New GPU PNY GTX 1080 XLR8
Looking for a few troubleshooting ideas. Bought a PNY GTX 1080 XLR8. Installed it, and all seemed well. Ran BF4 and it work for about 20 minutes then i lost signal to my monitor and GPU fans spun up to 100% (or so it seemed). I ran Doom for a while with no issues. I downloaded the free version of 3d mark 11 and it crashed right at the beginning. The new playunkown battlegrounds crashed as well after 5 minutes.
I've tried:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers
- Changing cables (tried hdmi, display port, etc..)
- unplugged dual monitor
- tried only with my 60hz monitor and tried only with my 144hz Asus monitor.
- When back to default MB settings (no OC now)
- Checked 8 pin power
I'm thinking it is not my PSU since the r9 280x has higher draw.
Thoughts? Return it?
Appreciate any and all help/advice!
james
