Ive followed many of the other threads on here but can not find a solution.

I've just built my PC and running on it for about 2 weeks and I just put in my second storage device. 1TB Western HDD.
The HDD is detected in Bios along with my SSD (which is running Windows 10) but when is disk management, the 2 drives that are displayed are my SSD (C;) and the system reserved, both are NTFS.

on the bottom of DM it shows SSD in disk 0 and the 1tb HDD in disk 1. It is unallocated. the status is working correctly and drivers are up to date but I cant do a "New simple volume" nor does it give me an option to.. I have run the trouble shooting diagnostics and restart the computer and still nothing has been resolved. I have checked to make sure that the cables were properly connected and plugged in.

All help is appreciated! Thank you!

Solution
Played around and switched it to a dynamic disk then back to a basic. this allowed me to ad a simple volume and I was able to assign it a letter.

Fixed and solved.
