Help me choose a PCI wireless adapter

I plan to install a PCI wi-fi adapter. Computer and router are in same room but not line of sight. I was shopping Amazon and one of the most highly rated adapters is also the cheapest. I wouldn't mind spending more if I would be buying better performance, but I'm wondering if it would make any difference in this case. I can easily imagine TP-Link or anyone else adding a couple of extra antennas that don't do anything just so they can sell units at a higher price. This is the el-cheapo one I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wireless-PCI-Express-Adapter-TL-WN781ND/dp/B0036AFAEW/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1491177768&sr=1-5&keywords=pci+wireless+card

Thanks in advance

seems decent to me. I prefer usb wireless adapter dongles though. They seem easy to install and transfer over from computer to computer as a means for troubleshooting, replacement, etc. TP link though is a good brand. Go for it. don't spend too much time asking questions. You read the review and did research. A second opinion is due to your lack of self-confidence. just do it.

I'm with the usb adapters, they can be moved around when coming with a cable for best signal like the next,
http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/amazon/tTGkcf
used it myself and with a floor in between did it get 144mbps signal strength.
Or if the router has the 5ghz band this one,
https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Archer-T4U-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B00D0AF3TA/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1491220330&sr=1-2&keywords=TP-Link+Archer+T4U

Other option is powerline adapters,
http://www.newegg.com/Powerline-Networking/SubCategory/ID-294?Tpk=powerline
they us the "power grid" of the house for signal transference.

Why not use cable when in the same room?

This is the next best thing to a direct cable. (plug both ends directly into a wall socket not a power strip or surge protector)
Plug and play nothing else to do.
