Ipod Nano connected to GPS

Ever since i bought a GPS(BOSS AUDIO BV9384NV) for my new car and connected my ipod nano(7th gen) to it, all the songs appear as 4 letters..like "MGFT.mp3". I can't even use the Ipod to navigate through songs..it just says "connected". My old car and old radio never had this problem when connected..any ideas on how to fix ?

One should be suspicion of everything with the name "Boss" on it.

You got what you've paid for - cheap piece of plastic capable of playing some media. Of course, if you are extra-adventurous, you can call their tech support, too ;)
