I suspect it to be the ram though, although I bought two sticks and I found it hard to believe both of them to not work. The main problem is that when I plug everything in to the computer it boots up but there is no display on the monitor. It is not the monitor as other systems work on it. And I have tried the new system with other monitors. it could also be the cpu but I really don't know, it could be any of the components. I cant get into the BIOS as it wont show anything on the screen.

List of parts:
1 Intel Core i5 7400
1 MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB
1 Cryorig H7 CPU Cooler
1 ASUS Z170-AR Motherboard
1 Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2A2133C13 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Black
1 500W power supply that came with the case
1 Thermaltake Versa H22 Mid Tower Chassis with 500W Power Supply

Thank you for your help in advance

It needs a BIOS update for a Kaby Lake

Use BIOS flashback to update the BIOS

Get BIOS 3007 / Or flash the latest BIOS 3401. It needs this BIOS to support that CPU

Core i5-7400 (3.0GHz, 4C, L3:6M, Intel HD 600 series, 65W, rev.B0) ALL 3007

No it wont ! Many manuals will not contain this info.
A link to the appropriate Manufacturers web site would be most helpful here
