I"m looking at putting SeaSonic 400W Fan-less PSU into a Fractal Define Mini c Case.
As this case has a shroud for the PSU and the PSU is fanless i'm wondering if it will have sufficient cooling as it does appear there may e restricted airflow to the PSU. I can't tell if there is an optional fan near the psu on this case.

Can anyone tell me if they have used this case with a fan less psu or if there is a location for fan near the psu. Otherwise what alternative psu they might recommend. This one is Platinum rated.

You should have fanless components in an air flow path. that being said, no you can't have the fanless PSU in an enclosure and expect it perform optimally. Cases without a PSU shorud are recommended for fanless PSU's. If you want a PSU shroud in your build then you can pick up units with fans in them. In fact, after the advancement of technology, PSU's these days from good brands and highest quality don't need the fan to operate until a certain load is reached(like above 50-60%).
