Do you do much post-game editing? The 6 core (12 thread) Ryzen CPUs launch in like a week from today. Based on what we know from Ryzen 7 CPUs we pretty much know how they're going to perform... barring any surprises (unlikely IMHO).
The pure gaming performance is not as good as Intel CPUs like the i7 7700, but it's likely to be a little cheaper than even an i5 7600K, while holding up extremely well for recording, editing, etc.
To be fair, by the time you add the faster RAM Ryzen needs and a CPU cooler, you're probably in similar price territory to @Hellfire's build above. So it's a trade off between the better pure gaming performance of the Intel vs the extra threads for heavy lifting on the AMD build. Certainly the maturity of the Intel platform is a plus there too, as well as the fact that you don't have to wait a week for release (and perhaps longer depending on availability).
I think you could make an argument either way. But particularly because you're targetting 60fps gaming and not 120/144fps, I'd be going Ryzen if I were in your shoes.
