Hello I've got a amd a8 7600 apu . Inside my pc I've got a crucial 8gb ddr3 stick of ram and a crucial 4gb ddr3 stick of ram. Even though they have different sizes the timings and voltages are the same. ( Ik this is not recommended )

Anyways , I've seen online a couple of videos and different people saying that dual channel ram is way better for apu ( maybe even doubling the performance in some cases) but it seems like for me the performance is the same ...

I've read my motherboards manual and it said this "you may install varying memory sizes in channel A and channel B. The system maps the total size of the lower-sized channel for the dual channel configuration . Any excess memory from the higher-sized channel is then mapped for single-handed operation."

So considering that my pc should have 8gb of ram in dual channel and 4 GB in single channel , right?

I have my apu set so take away 2gb of ram to use for the integrated graphics or the GPU part of it. Seeing that i get no increase of performance I'm thinking that the apu is using the ram that is running in single channel.

Is there any way to check this or to fix this??

Ps. I've also checked with cpu-z and the ram is actually running in dual channel (the 4gb i mean)

but in the manual it said that they do run in dual channel mode even though they are different sizes. Also cpu-z said it is as well...

really confused...
