Hey all,

I am gonna build a low end pc in order to watch full HD videos on YouTube and play Facebook games. Nothing else. But I want it to be smooth. so what can you suggest me to buy ?

Im not gonna buy a GPU.

my budget for CPU + Mobo ist 200€

I was looking for Intel Celeron kabylake CPU. I guess AMD won't be good for this purpose, as it's CPUs are weak when it comes to single threaded applications.

Solution
Since those motherboards don't offer anything extra that you pay for what you won't even use ever, a cheaper motherboard is the most logical option.

If you're afraid that cheaper means that it will break down easily, it does not, I play high demanding games with an i7 and gtx 1070 on a 70$ motherboard just fine :)

the G4560 pentium cpu is the price/performance king cpu these days, it's basically an i3, and can even run the most demanding games like battlefield 1 (with a good graphics card), so facebook games and 1080p videos is nothing for him. Just as sizzling said, try to find a cheap B250/H270 motherboard with 4gb or 8gb of DDR4 ram and you will be good to go.

Do you have the other parts aswell, like the powersupply?
You can get way better for the budget. Why not add an SSD to make boot times faster? Since even on a Pentium you can save alot of money.

Because an H110m motherboard will require you to update your bios otherwise it will not run. The cheapest motherboards you can find are b250 as I suggested.

oh okay.
I forgot to say that I already have a PC that I want to upgrade.

specs are:
AMD athlon 64 X2 4400+
Asus m2n-vm dvi Mobo
GeForce 9500 gt 512 mb
Corsair ddr2 2gb 266mhz

so if I buy a modern Mobo, I need to buy a new ram too. as my current ram seems to be the bottleneck

No lol no bottleneck here, you'll pretty much need to buy everything new. So I am guessing PSU and HDD is an exception?

You do realize that the Ryzen 3 1100 will be the cheapest Ryzen processor and will cost 130$? While his budget for Mobo and CPU is only 200 euros. It also isn't going to have an integrated GPU.

Where have you pulled that number from? There aren't any official statements about the Ryzen 3 processor prices.

Also, I'm talking about the APUs here. They will be quad cores with Vega cores as the iGPU. That would be much better than getting a dual core Celeron. I'm pretty sure they'll be priced very competitively.

There were some leaks on a few sites. So how do you expect it to be in his price range? Since you don't know the actual prices obviously it's just an assumption by you.

200 euros is above 210 US dollars. Let's say the processor is $130. That would leave him with around $80 for a motherboard. It would easily fit his budget.

If you want a system now, then by no means go with the Pentium. However, if you would like a more future-proof processor, that is more powerful, I'd recommend you to wait for the Ryzen APUs.

The cheapest AM4 motherboard is 80$ which equals to 210$ which is over the budget. Going with a pentium g4560 which is 60$ and a B250 motherboard let's assume 70$ = 130$ which leaves plenty of money for another upgrade such as SSD or CPU Cooler.

Dont forget he also has to buy ram, atleast 4gb which is 30$? if you want 8gb you already at 60/70$, the the ryzen 1100 which is 130$, thats already around 200$ and then you dont even have the mobo.

The pentium is the only option, or he could get something like an amd a10 7870k which has a good integrated gpu. though the pentium is the better cpu.

It's not. As I said, 200 euros is over $210.

He only said he wanted the processor and the motherboard, and he doesn't want to get a graphics card. The iGPU on the Pentium sucks. It's an HD 610 instead of the HD 630 found on higher-end Pentiums and all of the other processors, which is still not that good. An APU would be a much better buy imo.

We don't know how much the APUs will cost (I'm talking about the APUs, not the Ryzen 3s). But let's say they're over a hundred dollars. It's still very worth it. It's a QUAD core with a very strong iGPU. What's not to like here?

He said the budget for his processor and motherboard is 200 euros which would be enough for the APU and motherboard.
