Hey Guy's,

I need you technical experties and assitance regarding my situation in one of our Server witch is configured as RAID1.

Now, here is the scenario;

Our Server has 2x72.8GB SCSI U320 10K HS

- Now, the Storage are FULL

Question:

Is it posible to Upgrade a Hardisk into a Larger Capacity like 146GB or 300GB U320 10K HS without Downtime or no Reinstalling the OS and other Software whihc are installed and already configured? Just by Replacing the HDD 1 by 1 until Rebuild is Complete.

Thank in advance,

RAID 1 arrays need two(or more) identical drives. Unfortunately you will suffer from down time as you recreate your RAID 1 array with a larger drives and get about the installation of OS. In it's current state if you were to replace one of the drives with a larger capacity, say 1TB, you're other drive being a mere 72.8GB will cause the other drive to also only operate at 72.8GB, meaning all the additional space is wasted.
