Asus Prime vs ROG vs Pro Gaming vs TUF

What is really different between Asus motherboard series?

Asus Prime Series
Asus ROG Series
Asus Pro Gaming Series
Asus TUF series

I see a chip (for example B150 or z170) used in any series (Prime and ROG and TUF)

why Asus use a low-end chip (B150) in high-end series (for example ROG)?

Your question is a bit of a toss up. The RIG series of boards will have more higher quality and graded components, especially within the CPU socket/VRM area. You're also missing the point where the Prime is in fact a tier above the Pro Gaming range but a tier lower than the TUF while the ROG range is above all else. To the best of my knowledge there are no ROG boards with a B150 chipset.

Prime are for entry level but retain quality and stability even when under overclocking scenarios.

ROG are the top of the line series and are more often then not the expensive models out of Asus motherboard range. Overclocking on them is like sailing through clear waters.

Pro gaming is another word for the cheaply built unit/budget component. other than that it's supposed to do just about what any other board can do. Overclocking on this should be minimal.

TUF are meant for system's which are under 24/7 usage scenarios like servers or demanding environments. Reliability is a major concern and their TUF series is meant to endure hardship, or so as they say. IMHO they all perform just about the same and their price differences are due to the quality components used. The cheaper the board the lower the quality of the components in the VRM circuitry and the bells and whistles dropped onto said board.

You must know by now that you can build a gaming system from the worst of components, the real question when building it is whether it does other tasks outside of gaming...?

Prime seems to be for the mainstream kaby lake chipset market, so that's the lower end of ASUS motherboards. Not bad though, there's just stuff from the same company that one-ups it
When I think gaming motherboard, I don't always think overclocking, partially because sometimes your overclock doesn't have much significance to your game. If you don't need SLI/CF and overclocking, then cutting the corner at B250/B150 and ditching the Z270/Z170 board is alright.
TUF looks to be what's meant for a real enthusiast. Heavy VRM phases, temperature sensors all over the place, and plentiful expansion card slots.

now, ROG series in better for game OR PRO Gaming Series??

and you suggest a B150 ROG or Pro Gaming OR a Z170 Prime Series?
really my question is this, A low-end chip (b150) in a high-end series (ROG/Pro Gaming) BETTER, OR a high-end chip (Z170) in a low-end series (Prime)?
