I have a problem. I bought Thermaltake Versa H25 pc case and I have ga-b85m-d2v rev 1.1 motherboard which comes with only one 4 pin system fan connection. I want to connect 3 case fans, 1 rear and 2 front panel. How do I connect them and what cable splitter do I need?

Solution
Your motherboard has a SYS_FAN header located at the bottom edge of your motherboard

You could use a PWM fan splitter like this but if your case fans are 3 pin then you should introduce a resistor like this between the cable and the fan since a PWM output will cause a voltage regulated fan to run at full speed thus the need for resistors to reduce the overall power given to the fan motor.

Alternatively you could pick up 3xPWM fans for your case and have the PWM splitter connected to the CPU_FAN header. The CPU fan can be connected to said splitter and then the case fans to it. The advantage you get out of this is that all the fans will run at the speed of...

depends on what connector your fans are using

cheapest is using an adapter to molex. ie. 3pin small to standard 4pin molex and connect it directly to psu, if your fans uses 3pin.
an adapter to 4pin molex is available for all those pin layouts.

So I want to connect 2 x Thermaltake Luna 12 LED 50.4 CFM 120mm Fan (front) and 1 x Thermaltake CL-F011-PL12BL-A 41.0 CFM 120mm Fan (back). But my TechShop only sells:

P.S. All three fans are using 3 pin connectors.

Well, now I have decided. Closest answer to my problem IMO. Case closed! Thanks everyone who tried to explain how pc case fan mounting works.
