Hello, Toms!

I've been having this problems for a few weeks now. My computer's monitor turns black and after a few seconds of it being black, the sound starts looping a small segment of whatever was playing at the time. The computer does not shut down or restart, so I am forced to turn it off manually. Sometimes, but not always, a split second before the monitor goes black, there is a colorful display of geometrics on the screen.

In Windows' Event Viewer I find the critical error "Kernel Power" with Event ID 41, but AFAIK this isn't really helpful. I came to the conclusion that it had to be my PSU, so I upgraded it from a Corsair 750TX (7 years old, the only old part in my computer) to a Corsair RM750i. I am still having the problem.

This can happen at any time. While I'm playing, while I'm surfing or even seconds after I log in. It can happen every 10 minutes for a period and then stop happening for up to 4 days before reappearing.

My specs:

HDD: WD® Desktop Black 1TB
Mobo: ASUS Z170-A, Socket-1151
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz 16GB
SSD: Samsung 850 PRO 256GB 2.5" SSD
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3,5Ghz
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro 8GB
PSU: Corsair 750TX Corsair RM750i

Here is some additional information that you might find helpful:

- Nothing is overclocked. Anything that was overclocked was only slightly overclocked. I reset everything to default.
- The GPU has never been overclocked.
- Temperatures are normal.
- I have updated all drivers (using Driver Booster).
- Ever since day one of building the computer (mid-2015) I have been having an issue with the monitor going black for a few seconds. When it comes back, the HDMI-icon is in the upper left corner (as if it unplugged itself and then plugged itself back in). I've never found a solution to this, but do keep in mind that this has been going on for 1.5 years and isn't necessarily related to the true problem on hand.
- I have enabled small memory dumps, as described here, as per various forums' request, but no dump is created. I am NOT getting BSOD.

Stress tests:

GPU: I tested my GPU using FurMark and everything seemed fine.
RAM: I tested my RAM using MemTest and didn't get a single error.
PSU: I've bought a new PSU (Corsair RM750i) and I'm still having issues, so the PSU is not the problem.

Thank you in advance!
