Hi. So my new power supply arrived and it s now mounted and operating, after my old one died. I have a Seasonic S12II 620W paired with my GTX 1070 ( ASUS DUAL NON-OC ) i7 4790, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD etc.
It s working fine but when i open up overwatch for example, after 10-20 seconds in the main screen, not in-game or anything the PSU fan goes really loud. I think it s the PSU, nothing else could make that much of a noise, right?
I tried it 2 times on overwatch and it did the same thing. Is it normal? Any tips are appreciated.

Very safe to run , it won't damage your other components , SEASONICS are well built very rarely have a catastrophic failure. If you notice issues or the fan gets too loud RMA it. They can have a slight odd oder but it should dissipate , If it doesn't I would replace it.

Well, your opinion, but there s other people running it with the 1070 without any problems.
It seems to be working fine, but i m not sure if the sound is normal or it s not as loud as i think it is for a PSU.
I d like to play a full game of overwatch/battlefield 1 etc and see if it will calm down lol but i m afraid it will die on me like the old one which IT SHOULD NOT.

So, am i safe to actually play something? I spent all my money on a new graphics card, monitor and now a power supply after my old one died. So if this one dies/burns or something i will not be playing games for some time.
Also, if you re good with power supplies, it does have a certain smell, either because of my old one that burnt out or it s that smell of a new product.
You can only smell it if you get like right next to it unlike the old one that just straight out stinked my whole room even before it completely burnt out lol.
Thanks
