I am using BT broadband, and i went on cmd and typed 'ping 104.160.136.3' and it says
Reply from 104.160.136.3: bytes=32 time=119ms TTL=52
Reply from 104.160.136.3: bytes=32 time=119ms TTL=52
Reply from 104.160.136.3: bytes=32 time=122ms TTL=52
Reply from 104.160.136.3: bytes=32 time=120ms TTL=52
but when I used http://beta.speedtest.net/result/6187335041
it says that I have 14-18ms and 16Mbps for downloading.
I just want to optimise ping so that my online games don't spike so much.

Solution

Remember that ping is relative. It depends on where you are and where is the server you're connecting to.
