Hello,

the EVGA cards had an infamous heat-problem last year that was resolved by heatpads and a new Bios. The Bios is known to ramp up the fans considerably and make a pretty loud card out of a quiet one (some models at least).

Do you own the 1070 SC and have the new Bios and do you think it is loud? Could you provide some Furmark data, perhaps (fan-speed and subjective loudness)?

The articles are for a 1080 FTW but should be very similar for the 1070 SC. This article compares the noise and fan speed:

And this one does a comparison on the VRM temperature: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2691-final-evga-vrm-thermal-torture-test-and-analysis

When I had the new bios on my 1080 it was louder but the gpu temp was lower due to the more aggressive fan profile. The thermal pads do most of the temperature reduction so I just installed them and flashed the original bios.
