formating hdd in bios

hello everyone i have an isssue my brother tryed installing windows from hdd that os was runing off now it just gets black screen after windows logo i tryed instaling it normaly but i just get windows is loading files-windows logo-black screen again, so is there a way to format hdd from bios or shuld i try instaling win xp and than windows 7? thx

You can delete the partition, and crete new ones(and format) from within the windows installer. Just go back and install from USB or DVD

but thats the thing he corupted someting i cant reach that screen it goes windows is loading files and than it boots up corrupted windows it just switches from win install to boot i have never seen this before...

Right. That's why I said you have to go through the installation again. Completely re-install Windows. Boot to a Windows Install DVD or USB - not the HDD with the corrupt windows install

ur not getting me i have no options just failed boot gona try win xp now hope it fixes the boot issue

You're not getting me. You can't boot because you can't boot to the HDD because the OS(Win 7) is corrupt.

So boot into the Win 7 install CD. How are you going to install XP? The same way(booting to the install cd), right?

my frend has an old xp home cd i formated using that cd now is started installing 7(usb) it started i hope it will finish
