Desktop shuts off randomly and started using my non-primary hard drive for booting

I have a Gateway LX6810 with a SSD and Corsair CX 430 power supply. Recently it's been shutting down at random times, anywhere from 5 minutes after starting to a couple hours. Besides this, it seemed to change the default boot drive from my SSD to the HD. I went into the settings and changed that back so that part is fixed for the time being. The other thing it does is won't respond to keyboard input or the mouse after I wake it up from hibernation. CPU runs between 45 and 95% most of the time and operates at 40-50 degrees celsius. Graphics card is a solid 80 degrees celsius. It doesn't look too dusty inside and I made sure the ram is inserted fully. Maybe it's a bad power supply or motherboard?

Solution
As a basic first step, reset your BIOS with the jumper/clear CMOS. Run your system on 1 stick of RAM.

If the issue persists, you need to replace the power supply with a spare one (borrow from a friend/local shop). Without this step, we can never move out of guesswork.

If the system still randomly shuts down, it would signal your mobo to be the dying component.
