Hi - I desperately need to replace a very noisy PSU that came stock with my HP Pavilion. I do home recording, and my PSU is groaning constantly. Does anyone have recommendations for a PSU that will provide ample power and be the quietest possible, while still fitting in my chassis? I am running an Intel i7-3770 Quad 3.4 GHz with AMD Radeon HD 7570. I do home audio recording in my home project studio so getting quietest is priority over cost (within reason). Thanks for any help.

As far as silent PSU goes, the silentest PSU i know is Seasonic PRIME 650. It's also the best 650W PSU money can buy at current date.

(My Skylake build is also powered by PRIME 650, full specs in my sig.)

Though, since your PC is prebuilt, i can't tell if you can hook the standard ATX PSU to it. Standard ATX PSUs have 1x 24-pin and 1x 4/8-pin power connectors that connect to the MoBo. Most prebuilt PCs have different configurations, e.g 1x 18-pin, 1x 6-pin and 1x 8-pin that connect to the MoBo.
There are power cable adapters...

There are power cable adapters out there that you can use to connect standard ATX PSU to prebuilt PC if the connection configuration is different. But to see if you need the adapters or not, open up your PC and look the power connectors going to the MoBo.
