i recently purchased a ASUS DUAL-RX480-O4G. i have all the required specs and just realized i have no spare cables from the power supply and its neatly put away, without having to take the power supply out i was wondering if i can either get a PCIE expansion slot with 4 pin connector to connect the video card or can i use one of the sata wires coming from the cd drive with maybe a sata molex conector. the video card is 8 pin or 2 4 pin just looking for my best options

Install the correct cable. Being neatly tucked away is irrelevant. If you did it once you can do it more quickly the second time.

1x8 pin has 4x12v leads, 2x4pin only has 2x12v leads. Worse yet only 1x12v if they are on the same strand. You could end up drawing too much amperage through one or two wires.

Too much amperage means too much heat. Which can melt the wire, cause a short circuit or a fire.
